Specifications for dental laboratories

COMPACT-VEST is the Pressure Chamber for casting plasters and investments that eliminates completely air bubbles present in the powder and liquid mixture of the plaster. This is due to the action of compressed air, which acts only on the air bubbles in the mixture, making them implode and disappear from plaster or investment masses.

  • Mix properly your material (by hand or with a mixer) in accordance with the directions and pour it into the cylinder containing the wax model or plastic to be produced. At this point, in order to get a more homogeneous filling, we recommend that you pour it only into one corner of the cylinder. We also recommend putting a round of duct tape on the upper end of the cylinder, so that the same remain raised: the possible descent of the plaster will be well compensated without leaving the discovered items.
  • Close the hermetically sealed lid.
  • Pressurize the chamber at about 5 bars.
  • Shutoff the air intake.
  • The compression takes about 30/45 minutes: this is the time required to complete the hydraulic system process.
  • Open the air release valve.
  • Wait for the air pressure release and open the sealed lid.
  • Remove the cylinder from the Compact-Vest.
  • Proceed to the next steps of the processing.

For the realization of its equipment, Ariete, as usual, took advantage of the experience and the technical and scientific support of some dental laboratories of European fame, with which collaborates for several years.

By request, Ekena XP 80 / Ergopress casting machines can be equipped with a printer to have a complete and detailed casting process report. Ariete casting machines are the only ones that, through the on-board computer, test and indicate with a detailed report:

– any anomalies detected at starting;1241

– Occurred events at the fusion cycle. If an event blocks the running program, the report will describe it at the calibration phase, specifying the error causes. In fact, the printer is able to give details about all the calibration cycle as well as any adjustments made automatically by the on-board computer.

Giotto 200 is the specific pre-heating furnace for casting rings, fully electronic with BES (Balanced Energy Saving) heating.

The exclusive wax and smoke elimination system

With Giotto 200, you can use casting rings still containing wax. A specific program can eliminate it. The reusable wax is deposited in a container below the furnace while the generated vapours from the casting rings investments and wax residues are conveyed in a special catalytic converter that by an instant oxidation process at a high temperature destroys them. As a result, contamination can be broken down and reduced; at the same time, unpleasant odours are significantly diminished.

Giotto 100E Pre-Heating Furnace

Giotto 100 preheating furnace, as Giotto LCD, has fully programmable casting programs for casting cylinders. Giotto 100 E has 15 programs and each program has 22 steps and their pauses. It is possible to program many heating rates for each casting cycle.

At the instantaneous work step is possible to monitor the running cycle in order to control the progress. You can select an option and display the previously set parameters. It is not possible to apply changes once a cycle has been activated. Unlike with the Giotto LCD, the mains voltage is never indicated, if it goes down the cycles will suffer significant delays but the anomaly will not be signaled as in Giotto LCD. Anyway, the temperatures are verified and maintained with the maximum precision.

Great operational advantage

Cylinders are directly and evenly irradiated thanks to the circular infrared thermal chamber. Cylinders are all at the same temperature both internally and externally, thanks to that, the castings will be much more accurate because the casting jet solidifies inside the cylinder with uniformity eliminating the typical dimensional inaccuracies and distortion that occur using conventional furnaces.

This line was generated in collaboration with some dental laboratories making possible the development of a higher performance product in comparison to similar products on the market. The containment conical casting rings are entirely made of silicone, a highly resistant material.

The internal structure of the cylinders has thin grooves that are distributed on the investment in order to permit a better absorption of the temperature inside the furnace, thus greatly reducing the formation of small cracks. The former bases for free expansion are designed to be used with our silicone rings; in fact, they have power cones specifically designed to be used at Ariete’s casting machines.

Crucibles for Precision Casting

Ariete produces crucibles with entirely inert material, resistant to high temperatures, which do not react with alloys during the melting stage: therefore, castings are not contaminated in any way. We produce our crucibles with special materials that ligate to form a structure which greatly reduce the risk of sudden ruptures. Once reached the alloy casting temperature the crucible is left at this temperature for only 1-2 minutes, and then it is possible to add the alloy to be melted, obtaining excellent results.

Allucast® crucibles can be used at several cycles of repeated castings. Both palladium-based alloys and reduced noble metal content alloys will always result perfectly clean and free of contamination. Naturally, the crucible should be checked before each casting, to verify its integrity with our luminous pen Stylus.

 

Steelcast® crucibles are suitable for high temperature castings and therefore particularly suitable for non-nobles castings alloys. The laboratory tests have confirmed the usefulness of these crucibles for alloys casting such as Ni/Cr/Be (no silica), and even more for alloys with Cr/Co (no silica).Also in this case no contamination were detected in the crucibles.

 

Portagrafite® crucible is a support specifically designed to hold our graphite crucible in castings of Palliag and gold-resin alloys. Ariete’s graphite crucibles are made of pure graphite, highly selected and specifically designed for dental castings. They resist to different casting cycles and do not contaminate the alloys in the molten state. Graphite, being very compact, consumes little and leaves a minimum residue in the crucible that does not mix with the alloy due to its lower specific weight.

Ariete’s casting machines are standardised to our crucibles and so the operation procedure, as well as the duration and quality of castings, are totally different from others on the market.
A research carried out on a sample of 40 dental laboratories, both users of the die-casting machines produced by Ariete and not, demonstrated that Ariete’s crucibles are visibly superior to other crucibles present on the market, in terms of both quality and duration.
